STATEMENT UKRAINE

With this year's program focus, viennacontemporary wants to show what art fairs can do for the common good, support artists in and from Ukraine, and promote the visibility of Ukrainian culture abroad.

Austrian guitarist, composer, and electronic musician Christian Fennesz is considered one of the most distinctive voices in electronic music. As part of viennacontemporary 2022, he will perform in the historic Schubert Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus.

FILM – How Does Art Meet Film? How Does Film Meet Art?

In cooperation with viennacontemporary, the Acadamy of Austrian Film hosts a day of screenings focusing on the intersection of film and art at Metro Kinokulturhaus. Screenings include movies within an art context and films by artists who see themselves partaking in both worlds.
