Program 2025
ZONE1
ZONE1 is viennacontemporary’s signature platform for emerging talent. Curator Aliaksei Barysionak brings together artistic practices that engage with themes of migration and displacement, affective experiences of artists, queerness, and critical feminist perspectives.
CONTEXT
CONTEXT, curated by Sam Ozer, focuses on artistic positions from the late 20th century, aiming to foster dialogue between artists rooted in the region and those working in broader international contexts and to highlight how today's contemporary art scene has emerged out of a fascinating recent past.
STATEMENT: Realities Building
For 2025, STATEMENT focuses on algorithmic control, digital disinformation, and technological manipulation. The exhibition, titled Realities Building, is curated by Marcella Beccaria, Chief Curator and Head of Collections at Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea in Turin.
Kids Program

Art Fair City
Contemporary art fairs and the collateral programs that sprout up around them have had no small impact on the identities of the cities that house them. - CONTEXT
CONTEXT: PERFORMANCE Vlasta Delimar: The Right to an Orgasm at Over 60
In her performance "The Right to an Orgasm at Over 60" Vlasta Delimar highlights the importance of sexuality in later life, challenges societal taboos surrounding older women, and asserts that sexuality is a fundamental human right.
