Russian Art Focus: How to reach out to unexplored art territories

The invited experts will discuss the role (if any) that former Soviet republics play in the international contemporary art scene.

This event gives participants an opportunity to discuss what role the former Soviet republics are playing (or not playing) on the international contemporary art scene.

Russian Art Focus’ core mission is to highlight what is happening on the Russian art scene, both inside Russia and beyond its borders.

This online resource aims to reach wider audience and explore the art that is being created in countries that have for decades been culturally tied to Russia and how these links can be sustained today.

The discussion will be of interest to both professionals and the general public.

Russian Art Focus is a monthly online publication founded by Inna Bazhenova (The Art Newspaper) and Dmitry Aksenov (the Aksenov Family Foundation) and produced by a team of journalists, critics and researchers. The mission is to provide a well–reported, timely overview of the Russian art scene to international audiences.

Russian Art Focus is a free on-line publication, distributed as a newsletter.
